Moorinz ("Moorinz," "we," "us") makes a life-alignment app and website at moorinz.com. You use Moorinz to write down what matters to you and how your weeks are going. We take that seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
The short version: your reflections belong to you. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't share your entries with anyone unless you choose to.
Information you give us. This includes your name and email address when you sign up or join the waitlist, plus the content you create in the app. That content covers your Mooring definitions and your "why" for each, weekly focus items, morning intentions, evening wins, Weekly Review responses (including mood check-ins and reflections), assessment answers such as Value Conflict and Value in Action, and any photos you attach to wins.
Payment information. If you subscribe, payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only what we need to manage your subscription, such as your plan and billing status.
Usage information. We collect limited information about how the app is used, such as whether onboarding or a Weekly Review was completed, so we can find out what's working. We also collect basic technical data such as device type, browser, and approximate location derived from IP address.
Email interactions. We may know whether our emails were delivered or opened, so we can keep sending ones that help and stop sending ones that don't.
We use your information to run the app and show your own entries back to you. That includes weekly summaries, carry-forward items, and emails like the Sunday Review and Wednesday Mirror. We also use it to send account and service messages, to process subscriptions, to improve the product using aggregated usage patterns, and to keep Moorinz secure and prevent abuse.
We do not use your personal reflections to advertise to you, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We share information only with service providers that help us run Moorinz. Each of them may use it only to provide their service to us:
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of users or the public. If Moorinz is ever acquired or merged, user information may transfer as part of that deal. If that happens, we'll notify you, and this policy will continue to apply to your existing data.
Sharing you control. Some features let you share on purpose, such as a share card posted to Instagram or, in the future, sharing with a coach you invite. Nothing leaves the app through these features unless you take that action. Once you post something publicly, the platform you post it on handles it under its own policies.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal content within 30 days. Backups may take up to an additional 90 days to cycle out. We may keep limited records longer where the law requires it, such as billing records.

Depending on where you live, such as California or the EU/UK, you may have additional rights. These can include the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and the right to object to certain processing. To use any of these rights, email us. We'll respond within the time the law requires.
Your data is encrypted in transit and stored with access controls through our infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can access your data and treat your entries as private by default.
Moorinz is not intended for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Moorinz is based in the United States. If you use it from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S. and anywhere else our providers operate.
If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the effective date and notify you by email or in the app before the changes take effect.
